Website Design

powered by DrupalThe Agape House website uses the Drupal Content Management System (version 7.15) which is based in PHP, uses a MySQL database and is hosted with Periphix. halfofone has adapted the Havasu theme for Drupal as a foundation for the design of the Agape House website. As best as possible, web standards have been implemented even though this website may not validate completely. For example, at times, we've chosen the very-easy-to-use, though deprecated, link code target="_blank" to make external links open in a new window; then, at other times, we've used javascript.

Web Browsers

Browse HappySpecifically supported browsers include: Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari. However, the Agape House website has been designed to function well in many other popular browsers. If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer, please consider switching. Browse Happy can help you select a better web browser.

Typography

Most of the typography is set in "Helvetica, Arial, Sans-Serif." Sans-serif typefaces go well with the geometric Agape House logo and set a very clean, contemporary, and modern feel to the website.

halfofone creative_design designed the Agape logo in 2006 and completed production of the initial Agape House website with the helpful vision of Richard Williams in July 2007 on Drupal 4.7.5. halfofone entirely redeveloped the Agape House website with oversight of Kurt Esslinger in August 2012 with the intention that the new design in Drupal will ably serve the purposes of the Agape House community for the forseeable future.
